The Archeological Museum of Drama

Located in Drama
The museum, though limited in terms of exhibits, gives a multifaceted and clear picture of the historical and cultural character of the area, as it was formed from the Middle Palaeolithic period (50,000 BC) to the modern times. The exhibition area consists of three main halls. In the first there are exhibits from the prehistoric, classical, Hellenistic and Roman times found in the city and the prefecture. The second houses exhibits from the early Christian, Byzantine, post-Byzantine and modern years until 1913. The interior courtyard of the original building was formed into a covered patio where visitors can admire burial, epigraphic and religious exhibits as well as sculptures from classical to post-Byzantine times.
