Bone Stone

Located in Orehovo
Bone stone - a colossal rock massif, resembling a huge wall over which grows an age-old spruce forest; located 4 km. southwest of Orehovo village. This natural rock phenomenon was noted as a natural landmark in the encyclopedia in 1965. There is a natural waterfall above a large rock niche with a water fall height of 30 meters, which adds grandeur to the terrain. It is connected to the stone canyon in the area of Koilovo Dere. It has been declared a natural landmark. There is a legend that live residents of the nearby village of Koilovo have been thrown from the edge of the precipice, refusing to accept Islam. The foot of the rock was dotted with bones, which is where the name of the area came from.
