The Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory
Located in RozhenThe Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory was officially opened on 13.03.1981, but regular scientific activity monitoring dates back to September 1980. It is Bulgaria's largest one-off investment in scientific infrastructure (over BGN 12 million) and is still the largest the large astronomical observatory in the Balkans, and generally in this region of Southeastern Europe.
