Η εκκλησία βρίσκεται στο καστανιό δάσος του Μαινίκου και χαρακτηρίζεται από το ιδιαίτερο καμπαναριό της και το ξυλόγλυπτο τέμπλο της με εικόνες του 19ου αιώνα. Κάθε χρόνο, την παραμονή της γιορτής της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου, ο Πολιτιστικός Σύλλογος Πανόραμα διοργανώνει μια μεγάλη παραδοσιακή και λαϊκή γιορτή κάτω από το παλιό πλατάνι στην πλατεία του χωριού.
